Waiting on reaching the line

Reaching the other side sounds exciting

To get there means to keep fighting

Dragging, draining and exhausting

Forgetting you can be hoping

Sometimes you think you manage

The next day you find yourself on the edge

Passing one day with grace

The next day you find you're nearly out the race

Crossing over relates that you go through the process

Most painful is when a wound is fresh

If only there is a shortcut

Sure many will take that

Hold on and don't give up

Our Father sees you from above

You thought He is not there and cares
